My name is Andreas Mehlhorn, born 1957 and I live in Braunschweig (the English call it Brunswick) in northern Germany.

I'm retired now and for more than 30 years my profession was an officially appointed expert for motor vehicles.

The aim of this non-commercial private website is the technical and historical documention of the NSU Kettenkrad HK 101. Especially including my own experiences in driving and repairing my own Kettenkrad.

I want to provide help to other Kettenkrad owners and also to modellers, who try to build a perfect Kettenkrad scale model.

I own three NSU Kettenkrads. One of them is running and road registered for legal use on public roads since May 2000. During this time (2023 now) I've driven it around 3,000 km (1,850 miles) on its own tracks and visited many events for historic military vehicles, like the War & Peace Show at Beltring (UK) or Militracks in the Netherlands.

If you are interested in NSU Kettenkrads, look around and feel free to ask more questions by e-mail if you want to know more.
